Prodware, a data-driven guide to digital transformation, and BI vendor Hillstar have signed a partnership for the BIRDS product. With this, Prodware aims to strengthen its data and BI proposition and help its customers with the extensive set of predefined reports that BIRDS instantly delivers. Country manager Rob Sanders of Prodware: “At all levels within the organisation people are able to make effective decisions and ultimately achieve better results”. Klaas Mollema, CEO of Hillstar, continues: “From our perspective, this is a wonderful opportunity to firmly establish BIRDS as the way to successfully implement Power BI in larger organisations”.
What do customers gain from this collaboration?
Many organisations have the desire to work in a data-driven way and to get more out of data. However, this is not so easy to achieve. In small organisations, a separate BI report is still sufficient, but as an organisation grows, so does the need for fast, flexible and reliable data. This is where BIRDS comes in. This standardized solution forms the bridge between data and Power BI reports.
‘At Prodware we are passionately committed to each and every customer. We want to help customers in a correct and fast way, where quality, expertise and proven solutions are key. BIRDS helps us to realise this. Now we can offer our customers an comprehensive set of predefined Power BI reports for sales, finance, purchasing, inventory and more. BIRDS embraces Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV) and Finance & Supply Chain Management (AX), and is able to add more sources. This creates the desired 360-degree view of the organisation. This enables people at all levels to make effective decisions and ultimately achieve better results’, says Sanders.
Klaas Mollema adds: ‘Quite often we hear that a customer is going to build a BI environment on their own. Six months later we speak to them again and hear that they have installed a few reports by then. We do this differently. After the installation and a short implementation process of BIRDS, the client has access to the first reports. This makes it easy to implement a complete BI solution quickly and cost-effectively.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 provides a number of reports in Power BI as standard. However, the content of these reports often does not match the need in the organisation and offers too little flexibility. BIRDS offers an extensive set of standard reports for sales, purchasing, inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger. Technically, BIRDS consists of a data warehouse and a predefined data model that prepares data for easy visualisation. This enables everyone in the organisation to generate fast, flexible and reliable data insight.
The powerful base and the available Power BI reports ensure that BIRDS users do not need any technical knowledge and can fully focus on making better informed decisions. For example, they can easily make adjustments, change filters or create a new report in which data is visualised more efficiently.
Besides additions in Microsoft Dynamics 365, BIRDS can also import other data sources. Think for example of Google Analytics, HR applications, Web Services and SharePoint.
As an ICT-partner with over thirty years of knowledge and experience Prodware brings technology, information and strategic insight together. We support you with the entire digital transformation process. Think of tailored advice, complete relief through Managed Services and development of specific business solutions, adapted to your market and built on Microsoft technology.
